Midnight in Montauk

My favorite time of day in Montauk is 12am. We have just finished service and it has been quite hectic. I sit out on the deck of the Surf Lodge and relax for half an hour or so before we have to start planning for the next day. There is just a little time where you can relax. Although there is so much going on around you, it is sort of as if you are in your own little bubble.

I then disappear off to Liar’s Saloon. It's a local fishermen's bar right on the docks. It's taken awhile for them to warm up to me, but once you do it's a great bar to come late night for a beer. It's the kind of place where you don't come in with guns blazing. You keep your head down, play Foosball... and let them win.
