By Chef Tim Love
I truly believe that Austin is one of the greatest cities in the country. The music, the architecture, the culture, and of course, the food, is out of this world. Austin feels like the perfect home for my style of cooking and opening a restaurant here has been a big dream of mine for a long time.
The biggest misconception about Texas dining is: that we are only good at BBQ.
In reality it is: a multicultural culinary playground.
Make sure you try: a loaf of bread from Odd Duck, because it's made from a wood-oven right in front of you and has the most amazing crust.

About Tim Love
Tim Love is known for what he calls “urban western cuisine” and is the executive chef of several Texas restaurants, including the Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, White Elephant Saloon, the Love Shack, the Woodshed Smokehouse in Fort Worth and has recently opened Lonesome Dove Austin.
Lonesome Dove Austin is definitely a reflection of my flagship in Fort Worth, but it's also my ode to Austin itself. You'll find classics on the menu, but then you'll find dishes that speak to the city, such as the Wild Game Fettine, Axis Tenderloin Carpaccio Nachos, Deviled Gulf Coast Blue Crabs, Farro Congee with Kale Pesto, Porcini-Crusted Spatchcocked Game Hen, and a Whole Roasted Berkshire Pork Crepinette, to name a few. This restaurant is my love song to Austin and Texas overall.
