By Chef Angelo Romano of Rocky Slims

I describe Rocky Slims as carefree, creative, simplicity with props to Italian cooking and all natural wines. Obviously try the pizza, but don’t pass on any dish focused on vegetables. They are given the highest amounts of attention and are a focal point of the menu growth.

As a chef, I love being in New York because: walking and snacking is the best thing in the world.

My advice to visitors coming to NYC is don't: hold back.

Definitely visit: Flushing, Queens.

Make sure you take home: a bottle of Uncouth Vermouth, because it’s truly thoughtful and unique.
Uncouth Vermouth Tasting Room (By Appointment): 250 Van Brunt Street, Brooklyn, New York, 11231

When in New York, you must visit:
- A taco cart, whenever and wherever.
- Every single bodega in NYC for breakfast. Get a bacon, egg and cheese on a roll. I always add hot sauce and mayo.
