EAT.

Heritage Kitchen

This is the kind of place you dream about finding on a Caribbean island. It's a charming shack overlooking the sea. They serve classic local fare like conch soup, oxtail stew, and local fish.

"Fresh fried fish and they cook with a lot of peppers."
FED Pro  >  Chef George Fowler (Calypso Grill)

"A very local spot where you can eat curried goat and oxtail."
FED Pro  >  Restaurateur Walter Fajette (Agua)

Open Wed - Sun 12pm - 6pm
Boggy Sand Road, West Bay

Macabuca

A casual beach bar and restaurant overlooking the water that offers local specialties like conch fritters and ceviche, as well as fish sandwiches, chowder, and burgers.

"A casual tiki-style bar where you can see the divers going out."
FED Pro  >  Bartender Simon Crompton (formerly at Agua)

Calypso Grill

Chef George Fowler's restaurant with an outdoor deck overlooking the fishing boats. George recommends order the fresh Wahoo Escoveitch, Snapper with Monte Carlo Shrimp, and the Conch, when it's in season (November to May). Also save room for his signature Sticky Toffee Pudding.

"It's a more upscale restaurant, but still feels casual. Order anything fish; they have excellent ceviche and crudo."
FED Pro  >  Chef Thomas Tennant (Michael's Genuine)

"Probably one of the best restaurants on the island. It's a seafood place right in Morgan's Harbour, where the fishing boats are coming in."
FED Pro  >  Restaurateur Walter Fajette (Agua)

Open Wed - Sun 12pm - 6pm
10 Morgan's Lane, West Bay

DRINK.

Calico Jacks

A casual beach bar with tables and lounges right on the beach. By day, you might see your share of tourists, but at night it's local chefs and the restaurant industry crowd hanging out. Wonderful sunset views.

"They have a big wide deck that faces the water, live music, and a full moon party every month."
FED Pro  >  Chef Dylan Benoit (Craft F&B)

"At night, the best dive in the galaxy."
FED Pro  >  Chef Eric Ripert (Blue)

Open Mon - Sun all day
West Bay Rd, Grand Cayman | T: 1.345.945.7850

Havana Club

Smoke authentic Habanos Romeo y Julieta cigars and sip Havana Club rum at this lounge with a late 70s vibe. They have a walk-in humidor and an in-house Torcedor (cigar roller).

"A great place to go after a long day and unwind with a cigar and a glass of rum that's almost as old as I am. You're spoiled for choices when it comes to smokes and drinks."
