Midday in The Berkshires
By Chef Brian Alberg
I love that middle-of-the-day in the Berkshires when there is no "traffic" (if there ever really is any here.) The lines are short and you can actually have a conversation with the shop owners.
I head to Six Depot for a cup of Heart of Darkness coffee and talk about local happenings and rumors of the Berkshires with owner / chef / coffee roaster Flavio [Lichtenthal].
Six Depot coffee is a conversation beverage -- it's not just caffeine, but real flavor. The people that roast it and serve it are the storytellers of the origin and tasting notes. I come here for the experience and the vast flavor profiles. It's kind of like liquid food to me, but not the denture-wearing kind!
