Proof

A gem of a bar in Charleston, Proof is very intimate and the bartenders really know their craft. Let them whip you up one of the daily specials or try the "Smoldering Manhattan" with bourbon, smoked tea, Madeira and bitters. A definite on your to-do list when in town.

Indaco

The bar in this rustic, modern Italian eatery is top class. A well thought out wine list and a nice selection of amari are on hand, along with a small beer list and some fantastic cocktails. Since it’s Italian, I usually go for an Aperol Spritz or a Negroni.

Closed for Business

With approximately 40 beers on tap, this bar is a beer lover’s paradise. These guys rotate their taps on a weekly, if not daily basis. They have some fun local offerings as well as craft beers from around the country.

The Belmont

A classic style cocktail bar with some of the tastiest drinks in the Holy City. They definitely have the classics down, Old Fashioneds and Martinis are good here. Get here early as it's sitting room only and they fill up quickly. They also have a solid whiskey selection to choose from.

Burwell's Stonefire Grill

The upstairs patio bar is where you want to be, relaxing on a beautiful lowcountry evening under the stars. The staff here is some of the best in town.

Dealers choice is a smart one here as they are always experimenting with new things. If you want to play it safe, try the Tom Ford, a twist on a margarita with yuzu juice and vanilla syrup.
